# Update your profile and account details

## Profile versus account
Your profile is the information teammates see. Account details control sign-in and may have a different editing or verification process.

## Review and save
Open the editing controls available in your profile or account area. Update the fields you are authorized to change, save, and confirm the result. Your network may manage some fields centrally.

## Sign-in changes
For email or password changes, see [Change email or password](/articles/change-email-password/). Contact your administrator when a field is not editable; do not create a duplicate account just to work around it.
